Chandler
Chapter #18
Chandler, Arizona
MARCH
2010
What
a fantastic turnout that we had for our Honor Night for Sister
Maggie. We truly did good with all the donations to Sunshine Acres
with the cake, cookie and brownie mixes. They were very happy
to have all those treats donated by our Eastern Star group. Thank
you to everyone who helped with the evening of fun and donations!
We have our Official Visit of Sister Sue and Brother Jerry coming
up on March 11th. Sister Judy is still making the "Make a
Wish" cookies to purchase. They are only one dollar and you
get a wish too! So be sure to stop her and get yours early! I
hear that Laura, Lana, Lezlie, Larry and Lee Leprachaun might
be visiting us just to see if we catch them. Come out early for
our annual SOUP DINNER @ 5:30 - no set price just a donation;
stay for the meeting and some refreshments afterwards.
On a different note, here at Chandler Lodge on Saturday March
13th at noon starts the Official Visit of the Grand Worthy Advisor
in Arizona Stephanie Dohm. Stephanie is a member of Rainbow Trail
#16 assembly that meets at Chandler Lodge. The meeting starts
at 1:30pm. Lunch and dinner costs $12, rsvp is needed to Jennifer
Grayson at knowitallgirl@msn.com for meal planning. We will be
helping to serve the meals for the young ladies.
March 27th is Fiesta Days in Sun City. We are looking for all
kinds of donated items. So clean out your closets and dressers,
or make some cookies, breads and jams to help raise funds. Or,
just come and play some Bingo, wet sponge throwing, and lots of
good food.
We now have 7 new members! We welcome Sister Freeda English who
joined our chapter as a dual member. Please come out and meet
her and all our new members. Brother Ed is doing our profiency
class. Currently it starts at 6:45pm in the dining room. Anyone
is welcome to come and study for the tests.
Our annual Taco Dinner is April 3rd and our Wonderful Women Tea
is May 1st. So mark these dates down and plan on joining us.
When Irish eyes are smiling,
'Tis like a morn in spring.
With a lilt of Irish laughter
You can hear the angels sing.
Sue Rayner, Worthy Matron
After the busy month of March which Worthy Matron Sue reported
on, I'm looking forward to April when, after all the rain we've
had we can get out and admire the beautiful Arizona desert in
bloom! I especially appreciate the "coming together"
of Masonic bodies within Chandler Lodge and once again encourage
you to attend our meetings and "doings" strengthening
our fellowship. Being a part of a Masonic Family is still a privilege
and an honor which we all pledged to uphold! Come on down!!!
