June, 2009

Hello Brothers,

June has arrived. We are closing the first half of the year as strong as we started it on all fronts.

We are continuing to raise new Master Masons. We are having a 3rd Degree on the first and third Tuesdays and possibly a 3rd Degree on the fourth Tuesday of the month. On the first Tuesday of the month, Scottsdale Lodge #43 will visit us for an official visit, and we would like to see some of our brothers that hasn't visited lodge in while come down and welcome new master masons. With two master masons raised in May, we could have up to five new master masons by the time we go dark (May and June combined).

As for fun, it continues in June. Steak Fry for our stated meeting in June, pancake breakfast 2nd Sunday, and yes baseball. We are going to watch some baseball this month as well.

As you can see at Chandler Lodge fun never stops. Join us. Hope to see you in the lodge soon. Bring your family with you as well!

Fraternally,
Dragan Novakovic,
Worshipful Master of Chandler Lodge #34

FROM THE SENIOR WARDEN

June, 2009

We are at the mid-point of 2009 already! It has been a great first half of the year and we have had many fun dances, dinners and fellowship.

Thank you all for supporting our activities.

As June brings us a break from Lodge work I would like to wish you all a great, safe summer, full of family times, vacations, and so on.

May the blessings of Heaven be upon us all.

FROM THE JUNIOR WARDEN

June, 2009

Brethren,

June is here and that means our STEAK FRY Dinner for our Stated Meeting and the DiamondBacks Game Saturday evening June 13th. and a short break for the summer for all of us.

In May, Brother Stankow, my girlfriend Karen and I went to Mendoza Elementary school and gave 3 Bikes to 3 lucky girls for the Bikes for Books Program. Watch for pictures on this Website.

We used 1 of our bikes the Lodge purchased, but unfortunately, they are all full sized bikes and the small bikes are for boys. I purchased 1 medium sized girls bike and Karen bought the small one and donated it.

I talked to the Managers of the local Walmart and they will be able to help us out in the future with donations.

I hope the Ball game is a good fund raiser, we need to sell all 32 tickets to make a profit. If this goes well I will look into another game in the future.

Well that's about it until September.

May We Part Upon The Square,

Bob Hayes

SICKNESS AND DISTRESS

Subject: Jeff Grayson
Date: Fri, 1 May 2009 07:34:45 -0700

Last night my dad was moved from the hospital to the care facility where my mother is. He will be on IV antibiotics until May 20th. The care center is Plaza Healthcare and is located on Granite Reef just south of McDowell in Scottsdale. He is currently in room 264 bed 1. My mom is in 263 so they can see each other across the hall. Eventually they plan to move him into her room. He is doing well. His spirits are up and his appetite finally returned. He still has not had to start dialysis and the doctor is pleased with his kidney function.

Again thank you all for your prayers, cards, and other greetings. They have really boosted the spirits of both my parents.

I will update again if there is any other news to share.

Jennifer

Hello,

I just wanted to update everyone on my dad. As I reported earlier his surgery was last Wednesday and it went well. He was originally in ICU but they moved him to a regular floor on Friday night. So far they have not had to start dialysis as his remaining kidney has started to function at a higher rate than before the surgery. The doctors are cautiously optimistic that this will continue. He is still a little groggy as with only one kidney it is taking some time to flush the anesthesia out of his system and he doesn't have much of an appetite at this point. The recovery from the surgery is usually 5 to 7 days in the hospital. His foot continues to improve but the wound care doctor is on vacation this week so he won't be released till he gets back at the earliest.

Again thank you for all the thoughts, prayers, cards, and email messages. They really have helped.

Jennifer
