The
Chandler Lodge is DARK For The Summer.
SICKNESS & DISTRESS Brother Richard Plue is still in the hospital and has been for about two weeks. Richard is in Desert Banner, room 306A, and his wife, Barbara, says he could sure use some company. If you have a few minutes please plan to visit Richard and help cheer him up. Brother Darrin Higbee is on the road living the life of Cross Country Truck Driver. As such he has not been home for several weeks and thinks he will not be home for a couple of months at least. So that means that his wife Rene is taking care of the home front and she could use a phone call, and email or a visit just to let her know she is not alone/forgotten. Rene’s email is dhigbee01@cox.net. Rene’s phone number is 480-807-1642. Brothers,
If you hear of a Brother who is in the hospital, under the weather,
or has had a death in his family, please let me know at 480-883-7913.
If there is no answer please leave a message providing the Brother’s
name, hospital, family member’s name and relationship, etc. so
a call or visit can be made.

June, 2010 Brethren, May
is behind us. We celebrated Mother's Day with a tea party for the ladies
where the men served a meal, tea and dessert. Afterward we were all
treated to a great "Fashion Show" featuring characters from
the bible- I never laughed so hard in my life. We, the men, were glad
to serve the ladies in appreciation for all the things they do for us.
Fraternally
Yours, |

FROM OUR DDGM June, 2010 This month we travel to Tucson for the 128th Annual Grand Lodge Communication in Tucson. Like most years there always seems to be a few hot button issues that may have a tendency to polarize the Craft. There is nothing wrong with this as long as debate doesn’t travel beyond the due bounds of the points of the extended compasses. Remember that we all want the best for the Fraternity and we will always see that way through the perspective of our own looking glass. Albert Pike teaches us, in Esoterika, that the points of the compasses represent the Moral Sense and Reason. Our moral sense and reason should always govern our passions within those due bounds but especially with our Brethren in Freemasonry. In the latest issue of Arizona Masonry the Grand Editor talked about a free online course on Leadership offer by FEMA called “IS-240 Leadership & Influence” it is a resource for building your leadership skills. You can Google the course title to find it (or link below). Leadership in the Craft has for years been taught by experience and advice from the Brothers and to really understand how to lead you need to be in a position of leadership. This can be from being a committee chairman to the Master of the Lodge but training is essential if you want to minimize the learn by trail and error approach that many of us use in the Craft. Grand Lodge has endeavored to improve your skills with annual Leadership academies but there are many more resources available if you want to improve. Here are some free and fee based online resources for improving yourself and the craft. Masonic Renewal – Committee of Grand Master of North America Leading Brethren in Freemasonry See you in Lodge!
